Fuck the first |
|
So, I hate April Fools day. It all goes back to being a kid. One day my dad thought it to be funny to not wake us up for school and just leave. We all woke up late and ran to school, by the time we go to school we were close to being tardy and we needed someone to open up the door. A student came by and said,"Do you need help?" then is about to open the door then yells "APRIL FOOLS!" then runs off. As a note it was a bar fence door, but even our little hands couldn't fit through. Then every website and game decides to do an April Fools gag. It gets annoying. Usually on April Fools I just don't care for the internet. It becomes even more untrustworhy then usual. Oh, then you have the douchebags who go around "pranking" everyone. Which can consist of getting your car egged, paint on your ass, glued to a chair ( or gym bench in my case), or other such "jokes" that aren't comical and just cruelty. Then when buisnesses do it, it's also a bad thing. As in the office I work for at my school no one knew if anything was real or not as it was April fools day. No one did anything, and wasn't sure if the teacher falcuty meeting was real or not. I mean with friends, it's not as bad, as friends know the limits. But when co-workers and random strangers do said shit, it's pretty fucking annoying. I also think crap like this should stay out of the work environment. You see how un-efficient the office I worked at was? I wonder if in time April Fools will just die off.

Quick reviews |
Lit - Get it. It's only $8 USD and it's pretty amazing. Onslaught - Get it aswell, it's a nice FPS on the Wii, and a really good WiiWare.
MadWorld- Get it. It's really intense and crazy awesome.
Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop- Eh, depends on how much you like simply murdering zombies. There are a fair ammount of zombies. At 39.99 not really reccommended, if it drops to 19.99, then I'd recommend. (Edit: turned out to not be so bad. It was very bland at first but it started picking up. The new zombies they added made the game more fun and harder.) Fallout 3 - Depends on how much you like walking. I do not recommend it. If it's price dropped $10-$20 then I'd say go a head. IF you didn't like Oblivion then you probabally wont like F3. It's no F1 or F2.
More detailed reviews will come soon on each.

Contests |
|
Now, I've been debating if I should do this post or not. Here's the background story. See, I entered a contest at JoyStiq to win a copy of Evasive Space. I was then contacted by JoyStiq saying I won and the company who made Evasive Space would soon e-mail me. 4 days later I got an e-mail from them to add them as a Wii friend and other such information. So, where's the problem? Well, we (I only assume the other contest winners didn't get their's aswell) were suppose to get the game when it came onto the WiiShop channel. It has now been over 3 weeks since said game was suppose to deliver. I WiiMailed them (sounds so odd) the first and I got a reply. The reply stated that they were simpyl happy to give the game out and hoped I enjoyed it. Well, I WiiMailed them again asking where the hell it was at, only nicely. I never got a reply. I WiiMailed them a third time with a longer way and trying to remind them, incase they forgot, of said game I was suppose to get. I've still not gotten a second reply from them. The reason why I was debating posting this is I don't know what's keeping them, or why. I didn't miss the present as everyday I logon to my WiiShop channel. Now, here's my post. If you run a fucking contest or prize site on the internet, PAY THE FUCK UP! It's really fucking annoying when you enter a contest, win it, and don't get your shit. Then it's really annoying when you do all the work to earn a prize on a prize site and it's "pending" for 6 months. I've used a lot of prize sites, and I'll tell you which one's give prizes, later. There have been several times I've won contests and never got my prize. Sponsored by respectable companies, no less. Everytime I win a contest and don't get my prize I e-mail, write letters, and past a certain time boycott the companies involved completely. In this case I won't boycott JoyStiq, just not frequent it. However, I am calling a Boycot Akinai Games. Not High Voltage, Akinai Games was incharge of the contest. Well, after looking at their game list that's not a problem. They seem to only release WWE games, but I still call a boy cott. Don't buy Evasive Space, they get hurt more then that then by High Voltage. I understand it's a contest, it's not a right. But if I offer an Elvenmonk.net contest (which I actually might) you'd damn well bet I'd stick upto it. I don't care if I promised a Wii, PS3, 360, any thing you wanted from Amazon, or whatever you'd get your gift. See, some people will do contests but not mail out the game inhopes people will get so happy about winning it and then buy it once it doesn't deliever. Not me, I straight up boycott. If I lose, ohwell, I'll buy it. I'll post if I ever get the game, but as it stands I'm boycotting this game and the publisher. Yes, I wanted to play it, and I probabally wont. I had like 6 friends who're waiting on my to get the game and say if it's buy worthy or not. That's actually what usually happens. I'll download a WiiWare game say if it's good or bad then my other friend's pick it up. So, honestly, they lost 6 sells( not counting mine as it would've been free, plus the other winners if they didn't get it I'm sure they didn't buy it) and hopefully more. As a note I=spitefull. So, companies need to beware of their contests. There are more people like me who might have more or less influence on people. If you fuck over people then you lose sells more then if your game simply sucked.
